Catering Manager – 30 hours per week

We have an exciting opportunity for a term time experienced Catering Manager, with an interest in providing a great service to our educational customers.
Working as part of a hardworking & dedicated Central Team you will be required to support experienced Catering Staff within four separate kitchens to deliver a quality catering service. In addition to providing immediate cooking support to cover staff absences you will also be required to provide School Food Standards and compliance advice to several satellite sites.
Your role will include budget management, staff training, meal delivery contract, menu planning, menu costing, procurement, allergens advice, H&S & the completion of all HR processes.
We are seeking an innovative & proactive individual with effective communication skills to hit the ground running in their responsibilities & be able to effectively manage their workload & demands across the Trust.
The successful candidate will have previous experience in a similar role, be organised & highly driven to achieve. Candidates should have a proven ability of dealing with multiple tasks to meet time deadlines & working efficiently under pressure. You will work successfully as part of a team, building positive relationships with staff & key stakeholders both within Delt, the Trust & with external providers.
Our kitchens provide meals for pupils with SEMH needs, & as such many of our meals are bespoke to ensure that pupils are well nourished in the school environment.

In return we can offer you a great work-life balance. Working hours are 30 hours per week split over 5 days Mon – Fri. General hours of work will be 8:30pm until 3pm daily. Working Term Time only, with an additional 2 weeks split over the year to cover staff training & cleaning in the kitchens during the holidays.
