Head of Modern Workplace (Full time, 37 hours per week, Permanent) / Up to £60,000 p.a. plus performance bonus

Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Team Management: Lead and manage the Modern Workplace Team, providing direction, coaching, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Service Delivery: Ensure the Modern Workplace team meets service specifications and delivers high customer satisfaction.
- Budget Management: Build and manage the annual zero-based budget, including capital plans and business cases for investment.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Work with key internal and external stakeholders to manage risks and issues effectively.
- Technical Guidance: Provide specialist technical guidance in a complex, multi-platform environment.
- Operational Excellence: Drive continuous service improvement and operational efficiency.
- Policy Adherence: Follow and develop corporate processes and procedures, ensuring technical documentation is accurate and current.
- Customer Focus: Build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders, ensuring the customer is at the heart of everything we do.
- Performance Management: Ensure the team consistently achieves agreed SLAs and KPIs.
Key Competencies:
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead multi-disciplinary IT teams.
- Proven experience building positive team culture and relationships with stakeholders.
- Proficiency in translating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience managing IT budgets and building service strategies.
- Knowledge of ITIL practices and experience in managing SLA and KPI.
- Experience in end-user computing and modern workforce environments.

Qualifications and Experience:
- Demonstrable experience leading 3rd line technical teams at a strategic level.
- Experience leading teams greater than 30 technical staff.
- ITIL Foundation or above (or willing to undertake).
- Previous experience in a technical role within end-user computing or Microsoft applications.
- Full UK driving licence.
Due to the nature of this role, regular in-person attendance in our Plymouth office will be essential. The position is therefore being offered on a hybrid basis, with the expectation of working a minimum of 2-days per week in the office.
