● Coronavirus Update: the Board noted the work being undertaken by Delt in supporting its customers and staff during the pandemic;

● Management Accounts: the Board discussed and noted the latest financial position of the company and the key risks which could impact the budget in-year; the Board requested that further information on the cash burn for 2020/21 be provided to the July 2020 meeting;

● Performance Management: the Board reviewed the latest performance information for the company, against its Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and noted that all SLAs had been achieved in May 2020; an update would be provided to the next Board meeting regarding the DRBC test which was due to take place at the beginning of July 2020;

● Client Acquisition and Business Development: Glenn Askew was introduced to the Board; he had been recruited on a part time consultancy basis to look at developing future business opportunities within the blue light services;

● ACE Multi Academy Trust: the Board requested that further work be undertaken prior to considering the proposed contract;

● Comms Plan: the Board reviewed the current progress against the plan and the future actions;

● Staff Engagement Survey: Jane White (Head of Workforce and Brand) provided an update on the work undertaken on the 90 day action plans;

● Five Years In: the Board considered that the new approach in acquiring clients and the development of Delt’s business was both radical and challenging;

● Quarterly Risk Register: the Board reviewed the risks contained within the register; it had been agreed to hold a separate session to look in more detail at the risks, to ensure the Board was both satisfied with the risks included on the register and their grading;

● Modern Slavery Policy: the Chief Financial Officer (Paul James) advised that an action plan had been drafted to ensure that the statements made within the policy were being adhered to; work to progress the action plan would be undertaken over the next few weeks;

● Board Effectiveness Review: the Chair (Mark Greaves) had drafted the report and provided a brief overview of the review’s findings;  these would be considered in more detail at the directors’ development session due to be held in July 2020;

● Rewrite of the Business Plan: the business plan would be rewritten to provide a more marketing/PR focused document;

● Annual Report: the report had received a radical rewrite, in order to provide a performance based document that captured Delt’s key messages both clearly and positively; the report would also be used as comms tool for Delt’s potential customers, stakeholders and directors;

● Future Accommodation: the Chief Executive (Giles Letheren) advised the Board that staff were being interviewed to ascertain their working preferences; the results of this exercise would inform Delt’s future accommodation needs;
