Health Innovation South West is one of 15 Health Innovation Networks established by NHS England in 2013.

As a designated Health Innovation Network, it plays a unique role in connecting NHS and academic organisations, local authorities, the third sector and industry, accelerating the adoption and spread of innovative ideas and technologies to improve outcomes across large populations.
