The Challenge
Schools require high standards across both operational and catering facilities to ensure a safe and productive learning environment. Maintaining consistent quality across multiple sites can be complex, particularly in areas such as kitchen hygiene and compliance with Environmental Health Office (EHO) standards.
Our Approach
Delt’s Estates Management and kitchen teams provide hands-on support to schools, ensuring that day-to-day operations meet and exceed required standards. This includes:

- Preparing teams for unannounced inspections to ensure compliance
The Outcome
In October 2025, ACE Bretonside and Mount Tamar schools received 5-star ratings following unannounced EHO inspections. This achievement means that every kitchen across the Delt estate now holds a 5-star rating, demonstrating consistent excellence in hygiene and safety standards.
