Corporate Social Responsibility

At Delt, corporate social responsibility is embedded in how we operate, lead and support the communities we serve. Our work delivers meaningful impact across the South West — generating over £24 million in annual socio-economic value, supporting more than 300 local jobs and returning £5.4 million in dividends to our public sector shareholders.

We’re proud of the essential services we provide and the positive difference they make. But we’re equally committed to going further. Our CSR framework reflects our ambition to operate sustainably, strengthen local communities, foster an inclusive and healthy workplace, and act responsibly across our supply chain, ensuring we continue to create long-term value for the public sector and the communities it serves.

Our Pillars

Our approach is guided by five core CSR pillars that shape how we operate and deliver impact. Together, these pillars provide a clear and structured framework to ensure we act responsibly, create positive change and deliver long-term value for the public sector and the communities we serve.

Health and Wellbeing

We strive to promote a health culture to enable our people to feel more resilient and cope, successfully, with both personal and work life.

Environmental Impact

We are committed to reducing our environmental impact across our organisation and the services which we deliver to our customers.

Community Involvement

We aim to tackle the issues that impact society and contribute positively to our communities.

Diversity and Inclusion

We will develop a diverse and enabled workforce. We will promote equal opportunities for all.

Operating Practices

We operate our business in an open, honest and ethical manner. We actively strive to implement socially responsible supply chains.

Wellbeing

The physical, mental and emotional wellbeing of our people remains a foundation of our culture. We are proud of our 1.6% absence rate, reflecting our proactive wellbeing support rather than presenteeism.

Our commitments include:

Ongoing wellbeing and mental health training for leaders.

Flexible and agile working arrangements to support work-life balance.

Access to an online wellbeing platform covering mental, physical, financial, and nutritional health.

Continuous monitoring of wellbeing data to deliver timely and effective interventions.

These efforts have been recognised through:

Accreditation under the Workplace Wellbeing Charter

Recognition as a Top 15 Best Business Services Company to Work For in 2025

Ranking as the 6th Most Loved Workplace on Newsweek’s 2024 list

Environment

At Delt, sustainability drives everything we do. We’re on a clear path to Net Zero by 2050, reducing our environmental footprint across every part of our business.

Across our print business, we use 100% recyclable paper and packaging, non-toxic inks, and reusable alternatives, cutting waste at every step. Since 2019, our partnership with the Forest Sustainability Scheme protects rainforests and offsets our CO2 outputs.

We have a long term partnership with local business, Electrotek Solutions Ltd, a zero-waste-to-landfill IT recycler. Last year alone, we kept around 12+ tonnes of e-waste out of landfill. 10% of resale proceeds also go to local charities we support.

100% of our fleet is hybrid or electric, with EV charging at our sites and a fully electric van for local Print Services deliveries.

Community Involvement

We love supporting our local community, it’s a big part of who we are, and one of our core values! It is also a vital part of our social wellbeing pillar. Helping others makes us feel connected while also doing some good.

We pride ourselves on being more than just a workplace, we’re a community. Our commitment to making a positive impact extends beyond our office walls and into the our local areas where we live and work. Through our charity initiatives and activities, we aim to make a positive difference beyond Delt.

Volunteering and Charity Support

Employees who volunteer for registered charities can receive up to two additional days of paid charity leave, matched against their annual leave.

We actively engage in volunteering and fundraising opportunities in our local area as part of our Events calendar. All of our activities are aligned to support our CSR in one way or another!

Social Inclusion Commitments

We are proud signatories of the Armed Forces Covenant, currently holding Silver status.

We are members of the Care Leavers Covenant, offering care leavers opportunities and career support.

Diversity and Inclusion

We are committed to creating an inclusive workplace where everyone has equal opportunity throughout the employee lifecycle. Our approach includes:

Continuous education on equality, diversity, and fair practices.

Multiple channels for employee voice, including surveys, forums, and staff briefings.

Bias-aware recruitment processes with diverse interview panels.

Accessible and inclusive work environments and materials.

Operating Practices

Although not legally required to do so, we voluntarily publish an annual Modern Slavery Statement in line with the Modern Slavery Act 2015. We maintain a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery, human trafficking, forced labour and unethical practices within our operations and supply chains.

Our commitment to transparency and integrity ensures we continually assess risk, engage responsibly with suppliers and uphold the highest ethical standards.
