HR Assistant, 22.5 hours per week, permanent, £13,950 p.a. plus performance bonus
Are you passionate about HR and eager to make a meaningful impact within a dynamic team? We are seeking a dedicated HR Assistant to join our team, focused on delivering exceptional HR and Recruitment processes.
Reporting to the HR Business Partner, you will be the first point of contact for HR and Recruitment queries, handling all administrative responsibilities and supporting managers and staff as needed. This role is crucial for ensuring the efficient delivery of HR services and maintaining high levels of compliance and customer satisfaction. Your primary customer will be Transforming Futures Trust (TFT) so experience in the education sector will be a valuable asset.

This is a part time role, working 22.5 hours per week. We can offer some flexibility over how those hours are worked, although you will be required to work on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the initial contact for service queries and manage all transactional HR processes, including recruitment.
- Resolve internal and external queries with accuracy and efficiency.
- Compile, process, and maintain employee documentation and electronic records.
- Monitor and respond to HR and Recruitment email inquiries professionally and promptly.
- Maintain the Trust’s Single Central Record for internal audits and Ofsted inspections.
- Handle general HR administration related to the employee lifecycle, including probation periods, contracts, amendments, and absence monitoring.
- Support all stages of the recruitment and selection process, including managing recruitment campaigns.
- Utilise ICT systems effectively, including recruitment social media platforms.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, processes, and policies.
- Provide administrative support to the team as required.
Key Competencies:
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to build rapport and trust with key stakeholders.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite – experience using SharePoint will be important for this role.
- Capable of managing workload independently as well as within a team.
- High levels of integrity, discretion, and innovation.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Demonstrable experience within a fast-paced administrative role.
- Experience working in a HR function would be highly desirable but not essential.
- Comfortable working in a busy environment with conflicting priorities and deadlines.
- A vested interest in working within HR.
