Are you 16-18 and ready to jumpstart your career? Look no further! Delt Shared Services is on the hunt for enthusiastic, reliable, and driven individuals to join our top-notch Estates Maintenance Team in Plymouth, starting early September 2024.

Overview

The primary role of this position is to optimise property condition and quality to a safe working standard. Fault finding will be a key part of your duties, whilst maximising both quality and cost effectiveness.

Your tasks will be varied, and you will work both individually and as part of a team to meet deadlines and achieve key milestones.

Tech-Savvy: Put your basic IT skills to use by recording compliance results on our asset management software.

 

Training & Support

Our chosen training provider is Skills Group who will deliver a variety of theory and practical units listed within the level 2 Property Maintenance apprenticeship course. Attendance is required at Skills Group training centre based at Western Wood Way, Plympton for one day a week. All other aspects of the qualification will be delivered on site where you will receive regular visits by your designated course assessor.

 

What you will Learn:

  • How to carry out repairs to the fabric of a building such as walls, doors and skirting boards
  • An understanding of plumbing and drainage systems
  • The safe use of hand tools
  • How to utilise the principles of Planned Preventative Maintenance
  • The importance of delivering great customer service
  • Knowledge on carrying out repairs and reactive maintenance

Flexible Entry Requirements: While GCSEs in English and Maths (A*/9 – C/4) are nice to have, they’re not essential. Skills Group provides core functional skills training.
